This was a spectacular day! The sun was shining, and everyone was sooooo happy!
Here are a few of my favorites from Vince and Valerie's big day!
Some detail shots
These are from the ceremony.....
Vince tied the knot!!
This was their ring bearer... I just love this shot from up in the tree house.
And here are some of my favorites of the bride and groom frolicking by the lighthouse in downtown Manteo.

These two eloped last week and wanted me to take their pictures for them while they were at the beach. They are soooo cute and obviously in love! Here are some of my favorites.
I just received this email from Sara.... This is exactly why we do what we do. I love being able to capture the smallest of moments, ones that you might not even notice until you see the photos. When I get bogged down with the business side of photography, this is what makes my heart smile. Thank you thank you thank you to all my amazing clients!!!
"Good Morning! Okay....so can I tell you something? I cried when I looked through the pictures this morning. I mean, literally cried! I started out writing down the ones I loved but more or less gave up because I was writing down most of the numbers. I don't know how how we'll ever choose....they are so beautiful, Brooke!!! I can't thank you enough. This is beyond my wildest imagination.
Back to work for me.....and I don't know how I'll manage when I've got these pictures that I want to keep looking at!!!!
I have been looking forward to seeing them since we took them and I am beyond delighted, Brooke, truly. What an artist you are!!!!
Smiles,
Sara"
I took them out to frolic on the beach. I really think the parasol is super fun!
Then we went to one of my favorite locations, The Whalehead Club. What a gorgeous place to take lover buns photos!!

Last night I went out to Nags Heads woods to play with Megan and Mike.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed no one got poison ivy!!!! They love going hiking in PA, so we decided to play in the woods. At one point Mike sat down on a branch and Megan sat in his lap and it slowly started breaking, quite funny! :) He thought I planned it. Hee hee. They were my little super troopers!! Afterwards, we went to Mama Kwans for a fun drink and some fish tacos.
Stay tuned for their wedding photos... May 10th is their big day, almost here!!!

We had the wonderful experience of collaborating with many other fine wedding vendors in Hatteras, NC. Charter Media filmed a "fake" wedding for advertising purposes. Here are some of our favorites from this event!!
The bride and groom actually got married last year, so it was fun to relive their special day.
Here are some fun getting ready shots.
And then after the ceremony, we took the whole bridal party down to the sound to frolic in some kayaks. Here are all the fun images from that adventure.
And the we had the cutting of the "fake" cake. Looks real enough though!! And there was a cake for us all to eat!! Boy that was yummy. My associate Carrie ate 2 1/2 pieces all by herself!
Oh and I thought it would be a great idea if we dressed alike, so that way we looked like a team. But with our curly hair and the same clothes, we almost passed as sisters... here are some fun pictures of Carrie and me.

These two have a quite a story. Adam proposed to Tiffany during a picnic by having the ring buried in a box of Edy's ice cream. He called Edy's with this story and they provided tons and tons of ice cream for their reception. YUMMMY!!!!
They got married at Old Beau Country Club in Roaring Gap, NC. The mountains were just gorgeous!! It was such an honor being able to witness their love for each other and their family. Tiffany and her mom were praying before she put on her dress that had me boohooing right along with them! The whole day was full of funny, exciting, tearful, joyous moments. This among many other reasons is why I lovelovelove my job.
Tiffany rode to the ceremony in a horse and carriage and the horse did NOT like the rain and umbrellas! He started rearing up and running over the flower gardens and got the bride to the ceremony a bit quicker than she imagined. :) The ceremony started out on top of a mountain overlooking the foothills and valleys, breathtaking! The weather really made the day even more memorable than what it would already be! It started pouring down rain during the middle of the outside ceremony! Everyone just laughed and smiled and moved inside.
Enjoy their photos! Let me know which ones are your favorites... I am submitting to a WPJA contest, the deadline is Friday. I can't wait to hear your input!
The munchkins were super cute!!
Tiffany's grandpa came up during the middle of the ceremony and took one of his tears and wiped it with one of each of their tears. It was such a sweet and funny unexpected moment!!
I had soooooo much fun shooting these models with my associate Carrie. Kim and Wes with Holiday house, helped with all the outfits and flowers! The location was beautiful, we could have shot there all day!!!
Here are some of my faves from that day....
I just adore these inside the old door!
And this on the steps of the run down house...
These next few are sporting some HOT little black dresses!
And of course we had to throw the girls into the water for a bit of modeling! So much fun.
And here are some of my faves that Carrie took that day!
I think this one is wonderful.
Carrie loved this old tree stump.
Hot mamas....
Wes made this beautiful green dress, and we took it and the model everywhere in it... here are a few....
This land had several large live oak trees to play with, here are a few examples.... I love the one with the bride up in the tree, that was too cool, except Wes promised to help her down and then left her up there.... but we got her down anyway!!
Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped with this! It was so much fun and we ended up with so many wonderful pictures!!

I just loved frolicking with these two in the Elizabethan Gardens. The gardens are in full Spring time bloom. Here are some of my favorites from last week!
This flower is sooo beautiful! I love seeing green in more than just leaves.
Look at Brenda, shes soooo excited.
Here are a few from the ceremony and right after!!
These next are all of the bride and groom frolicking in the gardens. We went to all our favorite areas. I LOVE the one where they are throwing the Camellia petals in the air.
They had their reception at Lone Cedar's in Nags Head, NC. Yummy!!
And this last one is so much fun. I always like to find new ways to display the Bride and Groom's rings.
Thanks so much for having me guys!!

Here are a few images from yesterday's shoot at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk. They had an indoor heated pool and a wondersum hot tub that they let us use, thank you thank you!!
The models were amazing! I couldn't believe how natural they looked underwater, what troopers! Mike from Eye Candy video videoed the shoot and interviewed me and Wes, we were both so nervous but Mike put us at ease. I am so excited to see his footage! Stay tuned, we will have it posted on the blog!
As always, Kim and Wes did a perfect job on the clothing, style, and props! It's always such a treat to work with these two!

I am super duper excited to have one of our photos featured on the WPJA website!! She is such a cute little girl!!
Brooke's best friend got married!! I got to come along to help take the pictures, since Brooke was the Matron of Honor! Here are our fave's from Maria's and Jamie's beautiful wedding.
This picture makes me hungry for lunch!!
The beautiful bride getting ready.
Maria and her proud parents!
And here is our beautiful bride with none other than Brookie pants, looking fabulous in her dress!!
The beautiful church.
We just love this one of Maria walking down the aisle with her father and look how happy Maria and Jamie are.
I absolutely adore this photo of Maria, the first time I saw it, it took my breath away. Once again, Brooke's creativity blows my mind!
Here are some pictures of the happy bride and groom!
Here's one that made me giggle, Brooke in her dress with all her equipment around her waist.... hehehehe.
Mmmmmmm cake!
The first dances were so sweet, made me sniffle.
Brooke and I were playing with fun off camera lighting!, I love this picture, since Brooke was working and partying all at the same time!
I had a great time at this wedding! Thanks Marie, Jamie and Brooke for having me there. It was an honor to help capture your special day!

I had so much fun frolicking with Alex and Stephanie last night!! Alex is my first cousin, so it was an extra special treat to be able to spend some time with him and his sugarbutt.
Alex proposed to Stephanie a couple of months ago, all the family is soooo excited! She is a super neat gal. He proposed with our great grandmother's engagement ring- which is beautiful!!! They just bought 16 acres of beautiful farmland right outside of Greensboro. They are getting married in the back field in October, I can't wait! They are raising chickens for their eggs... Stephanie's favorite is Matilda, who is going to be their flower girl. Alex had just gotten 5 more little chicks yesterday when I arrived... here are their first baby photos.
Don't hate me for this one Stephanie, it's one of my favorites!

maria is one of my estest bestest friends from college, we are often mistaken as sisters... probably because of our curly hair. i can remember the first date she had with jamie soo many years ago, and now they are getting married on saturday! my associate, carrie, is photographing it and i am the bridesmaid, my first time ever! it is an absolute honor to be in their wedding!
when jamie proposed to marie, he went to irving street and picked up lots and lots of cherry blossoms. he sprinkled them on the walkway to her home, up her stairs, through the house and out to the back porch. there he had candles and wine on a table waiting for her to get home. it started raining and got super windy before maria came home but it was still a beautiful proposal.
jamie, who's the better smoocher?

My associate photographer, Carrie, is now offering family and children's portraits this summer, here are a few of her images! Her sitting fee starts at $275/hour.
I love her kids' photos!!!
I absolutely adore children. They always make me smile, no matter what mood they are in. These picture are from a beach trip I took with my children. They are wonderful models. When I shoot families, I enjoy chasing the little ones around, watching them play and interact with the other family members. I love capturing moments that are fleeting... a look passed between those who love each other, a touch, a smile or a flash of your special personality shining through! When you are here at the fantabulous Outer Banks of North Carolina, think about all those fun family memories that you are creating! I would love to help capture those forever! Thanks, Carrie!!
